LAURENCE BAUER
Laurence Bauer’s love for the water began in his youth with dinghy sailing, laying the foundation for a lifelong maritime career. Starting as a deckhand, he worked his way up through dedication and perseverance, eventually earning his place as captain. With over thirteen years in the superyacht industry, he now commands a 38-meter, Italian-built Benetti, demonstrating the skill and precision of a seasoned leader at sea.
Beyond his professional role, Laurence is a qualified Search and Rescue Technician and an active volunteer. His passion for the ocean extends to scuba diving, further strengthening his connection to the marine world. He also brings his commitment to excellence to Compass Marine, where he and his team provide secure, reliable, and hassle-free boat storage solutions.
THOR ERIKSEN
Thor Eriksen spent eight years skippering research vessels in South Africa, where he gained invaluable experience navigating complex maritime environments and overseeing scientific projects.
Currently serving as Chief Officer on a prestigious superyacht, he combines his technical expertise and leadership skills to ensure smooth operations.
Outside of work, Thor has a deep passion for spearfishing and scuba diving, hobbies that not only allow him to connect with the ocean but also give him a greater appreciation for its ecosystems.
Through these activities, he explores the underwater world, gaining first-hand experience and a deeper understanding of marine life.
